"Always Forward" Sightings
OCTOBER 24, 2007
I haven't blogged much about music lately, but thought I would point out a few exciting things about the "Always Forward" CD. One song from the album, "Satisfied," was chosen to be included on the Catholic Music 2008 2-disc compilation. Yesterday I received my copy in the mail, and it's a great collection of Catholic tunes. I was surprised to find out that I was track 2 on the first CD, following my favorite band, Ceili Rain!
In other exciting music news, I traveled to Kansas City for two concerts last weekend. One at the Holy Grounds Coffeehouse on beautiful Benedictine campus, and another at my home parish, St. George Catholic Church, in Odessa, MO. It was great to be home and perform with my sister. She has such a beautiful voice! And I even got my father and my wife up for a few songs.
My last bit of news makes me feel like the CD is really "official", since it is now available for purchase through iTunes. You can download just the tracks you want, which is a feature of iTunes I've always love. Although, I still recommend getting the CD from my website, because you get the cool artwork and all the lyrics. :)
And watch out: if you find my album on iTunes and click on my name, it will look like I have four albums. I don't. There's another Joel Stein, who's a singer / songwriter from NYC, and Apple thinks we're the same artist. And for a further point of confusion, he has an album called Please Forward. That's just too weird.
